Register new order

This article contains a step-by-step guide on how to register a new order in Montel Marketplace.

Register new order

The "+ New order" button is available in the top right corner of the dashboard. Clicking either "New buy order" or "New sell order" will direct you to a 4-step order form.

Step 1 - Product

1. Choose multiple technologies.
2. Choose "Region". To view the regions, please click the
   drop-down menu and select your
   country.
3. Click to choose label.
4. Choose “production period” and
   select multiple years, quarters, or
   months in the dropdown menu.
5. Indicates if the power plant has any
   financial support from public funds.
6. Add max plant age as a buyer, or
   commissioning date as a seller

Step 2 - Delivery

1. Choose delivery period.
   1. Standard - Standard delivery is January 31st of the year after production.
   2. Spot - Delivery after signature.
   3. Date - Select your desired date.
2. Add minimum validity on an offer.
3. Choose the registry where you will transfer or cancel the GO.
4. Add a comment to specify any additional requirements.

Step 3 - Price. Choose if you want a fixed price or an RFQ

If you select a fixed price:

1. Click "Fixed". 
2. Fill in quantity (MWh).
   1. 1 quantity = 1 MWh.
3. Fill in price per unit.
4. Select currency.
   1. EUR
   2. SEK
   3. CHF
   4. GBP
5. Choose the order's expiry date/time.
6. Make the order available to:
   1. Public - Everyone on Montel Marketplace can buy/sell your order.
   2. Counterparties - Your order is available to only the companies in your counterparty list.
   3. Selected counterparties - Select your preferred counterparties to manage risk.

If you select a Request For Quote (RFQ):

1. Click "RFQ".
2. Fill in quantity (MWh).
   1. 1 quantity = 1 MWh.
3. Select currency.
   1. EUR
   2. SEK
   3. CHF
   4. GBP
4. Choose order's expiry date/time. You will not receive or be able to accept orders after this time.
5. Make order available to:
   1. Public - Everyone on Montel Marketplace can buy/sell your order.
   2. Counterparties - Your order is available to only the companies in your counterparty list.
   3. Selected counterparties - Select your preferred counterparties to manage risk.

Step 4 - Overview

The final overview presents the requirements for your order and enables you to either submit or make edits to your order. This also allows you to save your order as a preset, so that you can easily place the same order again in the future.

1. To save the order as a template, click "Save as preset".
2. Click on any of the pencil symbols to edit your requirements in that section.
3. A total price will be shown if it's a fixed price order, otherwise, it will read "RFQ".
